5 Minute DIY: Fabric Picture

Here's a DIY you can knock out in just a few minutes. A really simple and inexpensive way to decorate bare walls using materials you probably have lying around at home. A great quick fix!!!

You'll need:

• Fabric (a bit bigger than your frame)
• A wooden frame
• Hammer
• Thumb Tacks

Method:

Lay your fabric right side down and place frame centred on top, taking care to align the fabric print.

Fold fabric top and bottom onto the frame, pulling fairly taught, and hammer into place.

Now repeat for the sides.

Fold the corners like this and then tack into place...

And you're all done. Yip!

  1. Beautiful and simple! thanks for sharing! I started following you in Barcelona (my hometown) thanks to the blog http://lastejeymaneje.blogspot.com.es. Now I am living in Munich and I have read that you too. What a coincidence! :-) I love your knitted staff!

    1. Hi Cristina, thanks for your message!

Thanks also for the link to that cool blog. I am living in a small town in the Bavarian Alps, 2 hours from Munich by train. But I was in Munich town recently, it was so nice! We swam in the Isar river... :o) How are you liking it in Munich? It's very different from Barcelona!

Glad you like my knitted stuff, I am in the process of making lots more chunky scarves for my shop at the moment, preparing for the cold German winter!

      Best wishes,
      Leanne xx

  2. Hallo Leanne! I will take a look at your winter collection ;-)

I like Munich a lot, but as you say it is so different from Bcn... the weather, the language and I find it not so hype-modern as Barcelona. On the other hand it is so green, relaxing, and everyday I discover new nice places (shops, cute cafés...) so step by step! It has been a big change, but I am happy of living this experience! :-)

It has to be very beautiful were you live! we (I am married with a German) love hiking and we use to go to the Pre-Alps, the landscape there is so beautiful!!

If some time you come to Munich and wanna meet for a coffee, let me know! I give you my e-mail: cricrigp@hotmail.com

    Best wishes,
    Cris

  3. Hey Cris,

Yes, I know what you mean, Munich is very 'pleasant' but not crazy-vibrant like Barcelona. Still, change is always good, I am enjoying my new countryside life after 10 years in London, but I know that one day the city will call me back!

There's loads of great hiking in the area where I live, the region is Ost-Allgäu, so many lakes, rivers, mountains, valleys and castles; so picturesque... Love all the distinct seasons here too and how the landscape changes.

Thanks for your email address, I'll get in touch if/when I am next in Munich :o) Let me know if you are ever in my 'hood!

    Have a great weekend,

    Leanne xx

  5. The Loan Fund worked extensively with me to help me anticipate some of the issues that my business may face. Not many lenders would go to that length. They’ve been extremely supportive and a great resource.
Working with Mr Pedro helped me develop my business plan, ideas and brand before getting started, so I was prepared to open a successful business when I received my loan from Mr Pedro, a loan officer with a huge heart of honesty.
